Inappropriate language
I recently had my account suspended for 3 days for inappropriate language, and I would just like to say the following:
Wtf? whats the language filter for , then? I just payed like 50 dollars for the Trilogy and therefore I'm paying all their salaries at Anet and they have the nerve to suspend me? maybe because they have all these costumes and "makeover packs" now to SCAM money out of everyone, they don't even NEED to rely on how many copies of the ACTUAL GAME they sell anymore. Because they can make just as much money from COSTUMES. As for those of us who shelled out our hard-earned money for the actual GAME well , we have about as much staying power now as a rock., We might as well be a microscopic spec of dirt compared to the people flooding NCsoft with 7 dollars a costume, 9.99 for a makeover pack and 14.99 for a character name change. If you thought your game purchase held YOU any privileges, well , you might as well forget it. They could care less how much money you spent because they can just ban your account for using a curse and it doesn't matter to them because they make enough money from costumes and pets and stuf, from STUIPID PEOPLE WHO PAY 7 DOLLARS FOR A COSTUME AND 14.99 FOR A CHARACTER NAME CHANGE and 9.99 FOR A MAKEOVER PACK makeover pack??? what is this, Super Guild Wars Barbie Adventures?? give me a fricking break. A makeover pack should be free. Charging it for money just means that they won't work on adding things in the game because they know they can just make money on selling more "makeover packs" to people who are ruining the game for everyone else by supporting something that should be free, thus giving Anet MONEY for effectively doing NOTHING. MONEY for NOTHING. Last edited by blurple; Dec 25, 2010 at 04:03 AM // 04:03.. |

Inappropriate language is against the EULA, which you agreed to follow when you created your account. You break the rules, you have to deal with the consequences.
Just because a language filter exists does not mean you're free to say whatever you want in-game. Not to mention the fact that filters like that do not pick up on everything that's inappropriate. Standard retail price for it is still $40. |

Language filtering has it's limits, if you choose to make attempts to bypass it , you'll prolly get hit with a nice fat temp ban
But have a Happy Christmas |

Don't QQ.
Here's a copy of the GW EULA. It's your problem. Not theirs.
